Mrs. Katie Rawlinson

Mrs. Rawlinson has over ten years of experience in education. She began her career in the Archdiocese as a substitute teacher. After a year of substitute teaching, Mrs. Rawlinson began teaching full day Kindergarten at John Paul II Catholic School. After four years of teaching full day Kindergarten, Mrs. Rawlinson was hired by Northwest Local Schools to provide small group literacy instruction to students who qualify through Title One services. Mrs. Rawlinson is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph University with a Bachelor of Arts in Inclusive Early Childhood Education. In December of 2010, Mrs. Rawlinson graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Master of Education in Reading and Literacy. She has a true passion for reading and literacy and works collaboratively with the Intervention team, teachers, and parents to help children in first through fourth grades learn to read. She has been involved in professional development in the area of Phonics instruction and has attended several workshops from the International Dyslexia Association.

In addition to her professional experiences, Mrs. Rawlinson enjoys spending time with her husband, Philip, and two young children, Casey and Joanna. She enjoys reading and spending time with her friends.
