As a product of Catholic schools myself and a parent of children who went through 12 years of Catholic education, I am firmly convinced of the importance of Catholic schools and all they have to offer. I am very happy to be part of the faculty at Our Lady of Grace School.
Along with a B.A. in Elementary Education from the College of Mount St. Joseph and some graduate work, I bring almost 20 years of teaching experience to the classroom. I hold an Ohio teaching license for grades K-8 and I have subbed in all grade levels. I also have an Advanced Catechist Certification for teaching religion.
I am especially excited about teaching third grade this year and working with many of my former students. I believe students learn best by doing for themselves and by being involved in what they are learning. I have often used learning centers to differentiate the curriculum and to enable all students to work at their own level. School should be interesting, challenging and fun and I do my best to make that possible. I believe that teachers work best in partnership with the parents and always welcome parental input and help. It is also a privilege to share my faith with my students. I try to remember that every day is a gift and to make the most of it.
