Hi! My name is Kelsey (Strasser) Flynn, and this is my fourth year teaching at OLG. I teach 5th grade Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, way on the other side of town, but moved to the West Side after getting married this summer. I graduated and received my teaching license from Transylvania University (in Lexington, Kentucky) in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and I am currently attending Xavier University for my Master’s in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement. Teaching has been my passion and dream since I was a kid, and as a huge reading and history nerd, I feel very blessed to be able to teach these subjects and share my excitement with the students.
I am also lucky to be involved with activities that reflect my passions, such as helping with the Talent Show and coaching Girls on the Run. In my free time, I love to read, sew and quilt, run, dance, and shop. As I mentioned before, I recently got married and it will take me a while to get used to my new name! I am very excited to be part of the OLG family and I hope to share with my students my love of learning through a fun and energetic classroom!
