My name is Waldo Potgieter and I’m very excited to be the new music teacher at Our Lady of Grace. I am a graduate of Mount. St. Joseph University and the University of Dayton. As a pianist and organist, I have played for many churches, events, choir, and worship teams during the past several years. Part of my teaching experiences at the University of Dayton include teaching at Holy Angels Catholic School and other teaching engagements around the area. As a young child I enjoyed music class at school and soon realized that becoming a music teacher myself would become one of my dreams. Piano and pipe organ music were my greatest inspirations. I started taking piano and organ lessons from a young age and continue to perform at a variety of venues. My enjoyment in playing piano has naturally lead me to teach piano as well in recent years. I discovered through playing and learning that I had a strong desire inside me to teach music. I enjoy working with young people, and I know I will have a wonderful teaching experience at Our Lady of Grace.
